Quick help

For account-specific or sensitive issues, email is the best support channel. Do not send passwords or six-digit verification codes.

Account & data deletion

If you have access to your account, use the Delete Account option provided inside the UC Merced Hub app. This is the fastest way to initiate deletion.

If you cannot access the app or your account, you may request account deletion through this support page by emailing us. When possible, send the request from the email address associated with your UC Merced Hub account so we can identify the correct account. We may request reasonable verification before completing deletion.

Account deletion is permanent. Associated account data and user-created content are deleted or de-identified as described in our Privacy Policy, subject to limited safety, security, or legal retention where applicable.

Frequently asked questions

Is UC Merced Hub an official UC Merced app?

No. UC Merced Hub is an independent, community-built project designed for the UC Merced community. It is not an official service of the University of California, Merced.

Where is the mobile app available?

The iOS version is live. The Android version is currently in closed testing. Availability can change as new versions are released.

How does student verification work?

Some student-only features require verification with a UC Merced school email. Start the verification flow from your Profile, request a verification code, and enter the code in the app. Once verified, your account can access eligible student features. If verification appears stuck or incorrect, use the in-app status check or contact support.

How do I report a post or user?

Use the report control available on the relevant content or user interface in the app. Reports are used for moderation and safety review. For urgent follow-up on a submitted report, email [email protected] with enough context to locate the issue, but do not send passwords or verification codes.

What happens when I block someone?

The app uses your block choices to hide or restrict content and interactions from blocked accounts according to the feature’s implementation. Block information is treated as account safety data and is not intended to be shown publicly.

How do I delete something I posted?

Where deletion is available for your content, use the delete action provided with your post. If you cannot remove content that belongs to your account, contact support and include enough information for us to identify the post.

What should I do if I find a map, building, event, or routing error?

Email [email protected] with the location or item name, what appears incorrect, and a screenshot if useful. Please avoid including unnecessary personal information.

What rules apply to wildlife captures and other user posts?

User-created content must follow the Community Guidelines. Do not post harassment, threats, explicit content, personal information about others, spam, intentionally false reports, or content that encourages unsafe treatment of people or wildlife.

How do I suggest a feature or share feedback?

Email [email protected]. You can also visit the main UC Merced Hub site for project updates and community resources.
